A creative retreat focused on paper flower making is set to take over Little Massingham Manor this autumn. Floragami, founded by Meg Lowder, is bringing its first-ever three-day event, promising a unique blend of craftsmanship and relaxation.
Set in Norfolk’s scenic countryside, the retreat will provide participants with hands-on workshops, expert guidance, and an opportunity to unwind in a stunning historic venue.
First-of-Its-Kind Paper Flower Experience
The retreat, scheduled from September 25 to September 28, will be led by Meg Lowder and Ling Warlow, both renowned for their intricate paper flower artistry. Attendees will learn how to craft lifelike paper blooms, mastering techniques that transform simple crepe paper into stunning floral pieces.
Workshops will cover:
- Hand-dyeing paper for realistic petal colours
- Shaping and assembling flowers with precision
- Building floral arrangements using handcrafted blooms
Ms Lowder, who started Floragami in 2023, has gained a following for her delicate paper flowers. Her work has been showcased in venues across Norfolk, from Holkham Hall to Harrods of Hingham. Now, she’s excited to bring her expertise to a more immersive experience.
“Watching someone fall in love with their creation is the best part of my job,” she said.
