PanAmerican Seed® has revealed the charities it will support through its Beacon Impatiens brand for the 2025 gardening season. Beacon Impatiens’ mission is to “shine the light” on causes that use gardens and nature to make a difference. This year, the company partners with two organisations that use the power of gardens and nature to enrich lives.
The company will partner with ESP Inc. in the U.S. and Greenfingers Charity in the U.K. Both organisations create inclusive spaces where nature brings joy, healing, and purpose. Through funding and outreach, PanAmerican Seed will help these charities expand their impact and improve lives through outdoor spaces.
Growing Inclusion and Opportunities
ESP Inc., based in Georgia, USA, supports individuals with disabilities. The nonprofit offers life-changing programmes, including scholarships and job opportunities. Through Java Joy, a social enterprise, individuals with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy gain meaningful employment.
With Beacon Impatiens’ support, ESP will provide more scholarships and inclusive experiences. CEO Laura Hope Whitaker expressed gratitude, stating that the funding ensures no one is left out due to financial constraints.
By backing ESP, PanAmerican Seed reinforces its belief that gardens and nature can help create stronger, more inclusive communities.
Gardens Are for Healing
Greenfingers Charity designs therapeutic gardens for children in UK hospices. These spaces provide families with a peaceful retreat, offering moments of joy and relaxation away from hospital settings.
For children with life-limiting conditions, these gardens serve as a sanctuary. The ability to spend time in nature brings comfort, helping families create lasting memories.
Linda Petrons, Greenfingers’ fundraising director, highlighted how essential PanAmerican Seed’s support is. She emphasised that funding allows them to continue their mission, providing more children with beautiful, healing spaces.
Beyond donations, PanAmerican Seed will promote both charities through events, social media, and hands-on fundraising. This commitment ensures more people learn about and support their incredible work.
